Marker Recycling

A Message From Kindergarten
With Earth Day here, our Kindergarten class wanted to do something fun to help the earth. After some research we found this program created by Crayola to help recycle old markers. Now through May 8th we will be collecting old markers of any kind (even non-Crayola brands) so that we can recycle them and turn them into fuel. There will be a collection box outside of the office where you can place any of your markers. In addition you will also receive a letter in your mailbox for students to take home to parents in case they have any used markers to recycle at home. Crayola does have a website with a lot of lesson plans and activities for teachers and there is a video to show your students what happens to all those markers when we recycle them. I have included the link to the video, it is a little choppy but I think a lot of students will love seeing the whole process. Thank you so much for your help in our adventure to recycle!
